Born and raised a few yards away from the shore of Tampa Bay provided two different landscapes for viewing. The bay itself will always be one of her greatest passions. Surrounding Tampa Bay is an urban cityscape with few chances to visit nature. Parks along the Hillsborough River are a few locations to see a little wildlife and native plants.

Not until moving across Florida from the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Coast did life and art change. Susan now lives in DeLand, FL in Volusia County. Volusia borders the Atlantic on the east and the St. Johns River on the west.

Now, there is no end to Susan being on location, drawing out  in nature.
